This is definately one of my favorite costumes. I love the look, the colors, and the way it's constructed. I made this costume to go along with Kat's Suzaku no Miko, and it's also something that I had wanted to do because it's a beautiful costume. I had seen other Seiryuu no Miko costumes, and I believe that mine is a little better in different ways. Some have collars that aren't really shaped right, or aren't even separate from the top, I've seen sleeves that are completely attached to the top, and I've seen skirts that are slim and straight instead of flowing.
I tried to keep those things in mind when I made my costume. the collar was made from a beautiful dark blue poly blend, trimmed in gold bias tape. The top is a fully lined polysatin with sheer white sleeves that were attached inside like a lining so that they would fall separately from the top. The skirt was made from a wide piece of broadcloth, gathered and held together with elastic. The sashes were made from baroque satin and are attached to the top. There are no hooks, snaps, zippers, or other closures on the top. Instead, the sash ties (I tie it to my bra to keep it in place) to keep it closed.
