Tasuki is such a great character. He really is. I had been wanting to cosplay as Tasuki for a while, and the opportunity arose at AX01 when the Kawaii Cosplay Quartet was recruiting Fushigi Yuugi cosplayers. Our friend Michi was going to be Tasuki and I was going to continue to be Nuriko. Things happened and Michi was unable to have a Tasuki costume ready, so I offered to switch with her, since Nuriko would be easier.
This costume was fun to make, but the main body of the coat wasn't cut right, so as of now, it's taken apart and will hopefully someday be remade to fit correctly. The black coat was made from a semi-stretch cotton blend with a heavy cotton lining. The lining was the most perfect shade of blue! Unfortunately, I didn't finish all of his accessories. The pants and shirt were clothes that I already had, and I bought black boots and put an 'active binding' strip around the ankles. The wig... was crappy. But it was the closest thing that I could find in the shortest amount of time.
