Eternal Sailor Mercury is a costume that I had wanted to do for a while. It was something that Kat and I had planned on doing (with her as Eternal Venus) back when we wanted to do all of the Senshi collectively and in all of the different forms. Sailor Mercury was the first Senshi that I wanted to cosplay, back before we knew what cosplay was, and back when they were "Scoots".
I'm really excited about this costume. It was fairly easy to make, since I now have a good amount of experience making senshi costumes. (I refuse to call them "fukus", because the word fuku just means clothes.) Also, this costume is sort of made on a lark. It wasn't something that I was planning or preparing for. I just picked up my blue satin and started cutting out the skirt.
