Cosplay Stats:
I've been cosplaying since Anime Expo 2000, and most of it has been partnered with my dear friend Kat. During my first two conventions I only cosplayed one costume each, but later picked up to about three or four per convention. It has recently slowed down, as has my general convention attending. The main cons I go to are Nan Desu Kan in Denver, Colorado, and Anime Expo in Southern California.
My favorite type of cosplay is a costume that I can feel beautiful in. I've crossplayed a few times, mainly bishounen (aka "pretty boys"). I've recently picked up costuming outside of the anime field with my recent thesis mermaid project. I hope to get my boyfriend Rob into it with me soon. I have a really good costume pair in mind that would work, but I haven't seen the anime, nor do I know the costumes well enough yet.
